I spent much of today driving around Austin and delivering Misloach Manot (Purim gift baskets) which is always fun. In the end I made 17 dozen Hamantaschen and delivered 34 baskets! Gary Clark, Jr. is poised to break big with his new EP The Bright Lights (Rolling Stone gushes about him/the EP). I first saw him in the gospel tent at ACL Fest in 2002. He BLEW ME AWAY. He was 17 at the time. We've made it a point to see him around town at least a couple of times a year and he has just gotten better and better.

I have tuned out TV and radio today and am all about the music. Since the incredible heat has finally broken I am starting to get excited about ACL Fest this weekend (It's very hard to be excited about an outdoor music festival when you're on your 70th something day over 100˚F!).
